The mountain is almost never crowded, yet because of it’s north-facing slopes, it receives great, dry powders snow. This Montana ski resort has 26 trails, with 15 percent beginner, 70 percent intermediate and 15 percent expert. It has four lifts, including 1 Triple, 2 Doubles, and 1 Handle Tow. Blacktail Ski Resort sits at 5236 ft. with a peak of 6676 ft. Blacktail Ski Resort receives an annual average of 250″ of snow.

Blacktail Mountain Ski Area is just off Highway 93, 45 minutes from Kalispell and 2 hours north of Missoula, near the town of Lakeside on Blacktail Mountain Road. Fly Delta/SkyWest,  United Airlines/SkyWest, Horizon Air, Northwest Airlines, to Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell. Amtrak to Whitefish from east and west. Highway 93 from Missoula or Kalispell.
